I wasn't sure what to post for today's theme of Time. I raided the herb drawer initially, and sprinkled little green leaves liberally about the kitchen, only to get into terrible trouble with the missus.
I popped out for a walk in search of a sundial, but the sun wasn't out and it didn't quite work, plus there were no river-based rodents in the vicinity.
But a few minutes ago, just as I beginning to give up all hope of posting something today, I heard a commotion in the garden. A little beaver was dragging a watch over the rockery, watched intently by some little friends.
"What are you doing?" I asked. "I'm living on borrowed time," he said.

I always think it's amazing
I always think it's amazing how the beaver pulls your proverbial pan out of the fire at the last second. I wish I had a resurrected beaver that would do that for me on some of these themes...although, wait, tomorrow, I need fire for a theme, never mind.
You've given me an idea. I

That little guy really looks like he's working his butt off. Please don't burn him tomorrow. Take his friends instead.

I love the pun -- for NoName
I love the pun -- for NoName's sake as much as my own. Another clever take on the theme, Mo, and another very well composed and lit photo. If I didn't know better, I'd say you're working in a studio. The lighting seems almost staged. I suppose it's all that diffuse, cloudy light that England gets.

Ha, a bunny was also in a forty-two out-take shot, but the shot was rubbish.
Believe it or not, the light
Believe it or not, the light is actually the sun reflecting off our French windows. The sun was behind the scene - which sounds crazy but it was. Actually England is all about stupid weather. When it's supposed to be full of rain (Spring) we get heat waves, and when it's supposed to be Summer we get two lousy days of sun and heat.
Bunnies and beavers and
Bunnies and beavers and watches oh my. As always, a great photo. Not only do you have a talent for spotting beavers, you also take great photos of them.
Thanks you, and...glad you
Thanks you, and...glad you appreciate my talent for beaver spotting. I see it more as a curse but hey. Truth is my watch has no battery, so that little bugger is going to be late up tomorrow.
Borrowed time indeed.
Borrowed time indeed. Methinks maybe the bunnies will play a larger and larger role in this thing... wait a minute... is that an Easter Egg I see in the background? Is this one of those lip-sync moments? We've all been duped into believing you have ingeniously come up with this stuff on the spur of the moment when actually it's all been sitting in the frige?
WTF?

Mr C, Mr C, it's actually a sort of mostly-deflated blow-up ball that a kid threw there. The truth, I'm afraid to say, is that I did take this shot fifteen minutes before the 13:00 publishing time. But that's not just because I'm disorganised, it's also because yesterday's evenining (or time) was lost as my daughter was sick. She helped me take this photo though, and I'm proud of her!

Oh, look! Bunnies! They're soooo cute!
Ahem ... pardon me. I rarely get to say "cute" - or "bunnies" for that matter - very often. (And I really have no idea what I mean by that).
Nice shot and a 'groaner' take on the theme.

Dammit - I want to see him on fire tomorrow. I can't be the only one. The only cruel and heartless one. Mike? Mike from "Too Many Mornings" help me out here. You'd like to see him in a small bonfire, right? Just a tiny one - I mean, he can pull thru. Maybe you can go to the voodoo doll people and get him a new arm or something - and then really have fun with him when the camera's not clicking. ;)
