I struggled to get a suitable photo for today's theme of Lines. I did line up a load of critters, but they kept grumbling amongst themselves and breaking line.
So anyway, I identified the ringleader and made him stay after school in detention, he's still not finished his lines.
I was running out of ideas, but a few minutes ago I was out in the countryside and spotted a little beaver, perched on a mossy fence.
He was watching a steam train roll by.
The railway line runs through the valley below and you can just about make out the steam, and a sheep or two.

Ha well I think this is one the only times I've really just winged it with a definitely not for the theme photo...glad you appreciate the image though.
I love this shot. The steam
I love this shot. The steam train, the English countryside, the moss on the log and, yes, even the beaver. It's like a Somerset Maugham story. Like, you know, Of Beaver Bondage.

I actually felt that the beaver was exceedingly beautiful, but hey, that's just me...
Absolutely beautiful photo
Absolutely beautiful photo that has absolutely nothing to do with lines. And where were those sheep when I needed them on Day 1?
Seriously though, it really is a wonderful photo, it looks like such a beautiful place. :)

Beautiful place? Google The Yorkshire Dales ;)Nothing to do with lines? Well the valley is a line, created by a river, and the fence is very much linear, and the steam train travels on a railway line...in what way is this not absolutely to do with lines?

Is that the Yorkshire Dales, blurred into significance, that makes you smile, or is it the mustard shirt? Either way, glad you enjoyed it.
What a gorgeous shot! I did
What a gorgeous shot! I did do a double-take though. The steam from the train is positioned just so that I thought the beaver was exhaling smoke. Made me wonder where he keeps his cigarettes.
In his silver holder, surely.

Well if anything, I'd love to have the sight lines that the beaver is enjoying. The fact that those hills are out of focus is tease. A damn tease.

Does this photo remind anyone
Does this photo remind anyone else of The Sound of Music? Cause for a second, I was wondering how that tied to lines until I read the post.
Um well it doesn't
Um well it doesn't particularly remind me of TSOM but hey, I can't speak for the rest.
I think I've heard once that
I think I've heard once that Beaver's tend to do things on the literal side. Trainspotting, clearly, seems to be one of those instances. Thank goodness, I'd hate to think of those poor dears muling around in the heroin underworld. As, I'm not quite sure we have a system set in place for drugged out beaver detoxification.
I've generally found that
I've generally found that where there is a demand, a system emerges to deal with it.
